SMS Terms & Consent

These SMS Terms describe the WedChat SMS Concierge service (the “Service”) operated by Wizz Stack, LLC (“WedChat”, “we”, “us”). They apply to anyone who texts a WedChat phone number. By texting a WedChat number, you agree to these terms.

Program Description

WedChat is an SMS question-and-answer service for wedding guests. When a couple upgrades to the WedChat VIP plan at wedchat.app, they receive a dedicated phone number for their wedding. Wedding guests can text that number to ask questions about the wedding, such as venue address, ceremony and reception times, dress code, travel and parking, accommodation, food and drink, and RSVP details. Replies are generated by an AI assistant using only the wedding details the couple has provided. No marketing or promotional content is ever sent.

How You Opt In

All conversations are guest-initiated. The couple shares their wedding-specific WedChat phone number with their guests through invitations, save-the-dates, wedding signage, table cards, or direct messages. By sending a text message to that number, you opt in to receiving SMS replies from WedChat related to that wedding.

WedChat does not send unsolicited messages. We never initiate a conversation, and we do not message phone numbers we have not first received an inbound text from.

Example Messages You May Receive

The first time you text a WedChat number, you receive a one-time welcome message that confirms you’re opted in and explains how to opt out at any time:

• Welcome / opt-in confirmation:“WedChat: You’re now connected to Sarah & James’s wedding assistant. Text any question about the wedding and we’ll reply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.”

After that, every reply is a direct answer to a question you sent. Wording varies based on what the couple has shared and what you ask. Typical replies look like:

• The ceremony is at 4:00 PM at St. Mary’s Church, 123 Main St, followed by the reception at The Grand Ballroom at 6:00 PM. Dress code is semi-formal.
• There’s a hotel block at the Hilton Garden Inn. Use code SMITH2026 for the discounted rate of $149/night. Book by March 1st.
• Dinner is a plated 3-course meal with chicken, salmon, or vegetarian options. Open bar from 6 PM to midnight. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
• Kids are welcome at the ceremony but the reception is adults only. Please reach out to the couple directly about plus-ones.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your interaction. You receive one reply per question you ask. WedChat does not send periodic or recurring messages outside of replying to your questions.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to both messages you send to WedChat and replies you receive. WedChat does not charge a separate fee for the SMS service. If you are unsure whether your plan covers SMS, please check with your carrier.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out at any time by replying with any of the following keywords: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or REVOKE. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages until you re-subscribe.

To resume messages after opting out, reply START.

How to Get Help

For help, reply HELP or INFO to any WedChat number. You will receive a short message describing the program and how to opt out.

Supported Carriers

WedChat SMS works with all major US mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We use your phone number only to deliver replies to your questions and to operate the Service (including spam prevention and rate limiting). We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing. Phone numbers are never shared with the couple. Only the text of your messages is visible to them in their analytics dashboard.

Service Availability

The SMS service is available only in the United States and is limited to numbers issued by US mobile carriers. Numbers outside the US are not supported.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where changes are material, notify guests by SMS the next time they text a WedChat number.
