Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Wizz Stack, LLC (“Wizz Stack”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use WedChat (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and an encrypted password.
Wedding Information. We store the wedding details you provide, including couple names, dates, venues, schedules, photos, and any other content you add to your wedding page.
Guest Chat Data. Messages exchanged between wedding guests and the AI assistant are stored to maintain conversation context and generate analytics for the couple. Guest messages are anonymous; we do not require guests to sign in or provide personal information.
Payment Information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers. We receive a record of your transaction from Stripe, including the amount charged and the last four digits of your card.
Usage Data. We collect technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, and access times for security and operational purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- generate AI responses to guest questions using your wedding details;
- process payments and send transaction confirmations;
- send service-related emails (password resets, account notifications);
- display analytics to couples about guest interactions with their page;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your content for advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the Service. These providers process limited data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it:
- Supabase: authentication, database, file storage
- Vercel: web hosting and content delivery
- Stripe: payment processing
- Anthropic: AI models powering guest chat responses
- Firecrawl: website scraping for the import feature
- Twilio: SMS delivery for the optional SMS Concierge feature (see our SMS Terms)
- Upstash: rate limiting and caching
- PostHog: product analytics and session recording (see Section 5 below)
4. AI and Your Data
When a guest asks a question, we send the wedding details you provided, along with the guest’s message, to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate a response. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models. We do not send personal information about your guests to Anthropic beyond the text of their messages.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not sell tracking data.
We use PostHog for product analytics and to help us understand how the Service is used. PostHog records page views, button clicks, and replays of how visitors interact with the page (session replay). All form fields and any element marked as sensitive are masked before recording, so passwords, payment details, and message content are never captured. Session replay applies to both couples (in the dashboard) and wedding guests (on the public chat page). We use this data only to improve the Service.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and wedding data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a wedding page, the associated chat messages and analytics are also deleted. If you delete your account, we delete all associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain information for legal or accounting purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- access, correct, or delete your personal information;
- export your data in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent for processing based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
WedChat is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
If you access WedChat from outside the United States, please note that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or within the Service.
